Emperor Palpatine (Episode VI) with Byzantine touches

"Strike me down with all your hatred and your journey towards the dark side will he complete" -Emperor Palpatine, Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi

Here's a special project I made of a black and white illustration that combined both Byzantium and Star Wars. Emperor Palpatine (Darth Sidious) here sits on a Byzantine style throne as a Byzantine Basileus (emperor) in Death Star II like in "Return of the Jedi" if you all know except wearing the Byzantine imperial Loros robes and crown with his signature hood covering his disfigured face. This drawing of mine adds a different take on the beams of the emperor's window at the Death Star by adding intricate Byzantine style motifs while what is seen outside is the same emptiness of space except for the stars.

All illustrations here done by myself with some photoshop for finishing touches.
